But Urie says that concept only came after the fact.“The first track I wrote was ‘Hallelujah’,” he says of a gospel-goes-funk song released 10 months ago and whose video has had almost 15 million You Tube videos.I’m definitely glad to say that, yes, we are still friends. We live close to each other and we’ve hung out a few times — gone to dinner, grabbed some drinks. Friendship was really important to us when we split. When we first moved to California from Las Vegas we got into surfing. Odd and has worked with artists ranging from Jay-Z to Lou Reed to Carly Simon] and he said, ‘If you really want to write then it has to sound like you.’ I took his advice. We figured we should do something to get in shape, but we hate working out. Did drummer Spencer Smith do more songwriting for this album? Between the two of us, it was about trying to figure out who was going to play which instruments. Then we throw what we call ‘ear candy’ all over the songs in the studio. He was kind enough to invite us over to his house to write some songs for a day. I’ve recently been reading about Tesla coils and I’m trying to figure out how I can get a Tesla coil that sits on the stage and shoots sparks without hurting anybody. When I met her I wrote this song to try and impress her. I played it for her and we’ve been dating ever since. I was able to build up my confidence to write a song and try to woo her. There are synthesizers and keyboards, marimbas, and strings. We haven’t talked about anything specifically, but if we take a break and meet up later that would be cool. Out: The video for Build God, Then We'll Talk was one of the most awesomely perverse things I've ever seen. Smith: I don't even think it could get played on MTV, so it ended up just an internet release. Walker: It's not as sexual in the sense that there's no mime having mimed sex with a decently hot girl. It seems that a lot of things get thrown into that type of view if it's not the most masculine thing.
But You Tube's bigger than anything in the world anyway. Am I going to love the new one for "Nine in the Afternoon" as much? Smith: It's definitely the most interactive video that we've ever been in. We just don't like going on stage with skull bandanas and ripped jeans and cut-off t-shirts showing off our muscles.

And Sinatra at the Sands is one of the greatest live albums of all time.” Between-song racist banter on the 1966 classic notwithstanding… I do remember seeing them demolish The Sands and put a new casino in its place, and my parents explaining to me it was the place where the Rat Pack performed and how it was Sinatra’s baby.
