If we go for a drink sometime I’m sure you’ll get a bad date story or two out of me.

Dating makes us vulnerable to being judged, hurt or rejected. Without vulnerability — you miss out on the good stuff in life. I believed that because the stigma is still there around mental health.

It was an automatic response but, when faced with an opportunity to be authentic and open about my mental health, why did i shut down?

Quite often our attitudes towards dating already imply that we should be hiding the ‘realer’ parts of ourselves.
